Description
Coated VICRYL™ Plus Antibacterial Suture, Violet Braided, Size 0, 8 x 18", is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of Polyglactin 910 and coated with Polyglactin 370, calcium stearate, and the antibacterial agent triclosan. The antibacterial coating has been demonstrated in vitro to inhibit colonization by common surgical site pathogens including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE.
This braided suture offers optimal handling characteristics, knot security, and reduced tissue drag due to its lubricious coating. The violet coloration enhances visibility during surgical procedures. The material is designed for minimal tissue reactivity and provides dependable strength during the critical wound healing period.
The CT-2 needle is a 1/2 circle taper point needle measuring 26 mm, suitable for delicate and soft tissues. Each unit contains eight 18-inch strands, allowing for multiple uses per package and consistent handling during closure of subcutaneous, gynecologic, and general soft tissue.
